The Skateboarding industry lost one of the truly good guys we had. Former Es and most recently Matix Team Manager who I had the good fortune of helping judge when he brought the Lord of the Lines Am Contest to Pit Crew. Skate a little harder this week for Tony Evjenth, Rest In Peace.

Keep an eye out for Matt C., Sevenfold’s newest member, who will be a judge at commotion down at the ocean. He will be promoing some free Sevenfold gear tomorrow.

A free outdoor skate park, designed by California Skateparks, is slated to open in RFK’s Lot 3. Its said to be the largest on the East Coast. The design plans for the park were posted here – http://anc7d01.wordpress.com/2011/06/30/skate-park-in-rfk-lot-3/ but it got pulled. You will have to settle for the first link.

“Maloof Money Cup will foot the $700,000 to $1 million bill for the RFK skatepark and in return benefit from hosting an annual event there.”
